Volunteer

BGCAZ Athletics is on a mission to provide accessible, high-quality sports leagues for youth of all backgrounds. But we can't do it alone - we need you!

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to support our leagues through coaching, scoreboard operation, and more. You can become a volunteer in these easy steps:

  1. Create an account and apply in our VolunteerHub database

  2. Complete the required background check using this link.** There is no cost to volunteers for this online process.

  3. Complete BGCAZ Athletics' on-demand volunteer orientation video using this link. Take a screenshot of the final page and upload it to your VolunteerHub profile.

  4. Complete Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) training using this link. Course code:  BGClubValley01
Note: You will need to create an account the first time you log on.  The course code is good through December 2024. Questions? Contact sports@bgcaz.org.

  5. Participate in a brief interview with BGCAZ Athletics staff. Once the above steps are completed and proof of completion has been uploaded to your profile on VolunteerHub, email BGCAZ Athletics Rec. League Coordinator, Melissa Lachvayder, to schedule a virtual interview at melissa.lachvayder@bgcaz.org.

  6. Attend an in-person training with Positive Coaching Alliance before start of season (this step is optional, but strongly encouraged)

Ready to get started? We'd love to have you!

**Contact BGCAZ Volunteer Services Manager Donna Martin if you have questions about the background check or encounter any challenges: donna.martin@bgcaz.org.

Thank you to our Title Sponsor!
