BGCAZ Athletics extends a huge congratulations to this year's flag football champs!
We celebrate the 6-8th grade champions, the Venusaurs of the West Valley region, and the 3-5 champions, the Raichus, from the North Phoenix region.
Our athletes' hard work and sportsmanship truly made this season special, and we couldn't be more proud.
BGCAZ Athletics' Flag Football program is a K-8 CoEd 4v4 league that focuses on player development and, more importantly, FUN! Players and coaches will meet an hour before their game for practice and then will roll right into their games. All practices and games take place on Saturdays during the 9-week season. Each athlete will be provided with a jersey and shorts.
Parents will need to commute their athletes to sites within one of two regions, including a primary "home" location, selected during registration. Locations can be reviewed here.
The first two weeks of the season will be 1.5-hour practices, followed by 5 weeks of one-hour practice plus one game. Following the first two weeks of the season, athletes in the 3-5 and 6-8 Divisions will have "Regional Travel" within their region (East Valley: Mesa & Chandler or West Valley: West Phoenix & North Phoenix).
The final two weeks of the season are playoffs - no practice! The champions of each site will meet for the Final Four Games in week 9.

**The K-2 league is a developmental league that will end with a bowl game. Practices are designed to introduce kids to the game and teach them to play with teammates. Games are structured as 30-minute scrimmages, with emphasis on having fun and learning! The season will end with its final game in week nine. Athletes must be at least 5 years old to register.

K-2 season ending bowl games and 3-5 / 6-8 playoff schedules will be determined after the final regular season standings are determined following the week 7 games.
